SPECIALITIES UPDATE | MedICUs v6.1.033
The specialities list
in MedICUs v6.1.033
has been updated to allow selection of valid specialities
only. For a latest list of specialities see this document, 'Fields - ICMPDS V3.1 (doc. version 3.1.0) - March
2011'.
Below is an outline of the impact this change will have on you.
Example - Referring Doctor (Dr A) has a speciality of (312)
Clinical Cytogenetics & Molecular Genetics. In MedICUs v6.1.033 attempting
to assign Dr A to a newly admitted record will throw up an alert to inform
you that their speciality is no longer valid and must be changed.
Clicking OK will open the editable medical staff window.
This window will allow you to update the doctors speciality information.
Please note that the process differs slightly for Ref Dr & Unit Consultant,
steps for both are outlined below:
Referring Dr > Highlight the expired speciality > Click
Modify > Double click on a valid speciality (white line).
Unit Consultant > Select a valid speciality using the drop
down lists. Invalid items are identified with a *.
